Most of our suits are sold unstitched, which means you receive the fabric to be stitched to your own measurements. This page explains what is in each suit and how to measure well.
What is included
- 1-piece – shirt or kurta fabric only
- 2-piece – shirt and trouser fabric
- 3-piece – shirt, trouser and dupatta
Some suits also include embroidered patches for the neckline, daman (hem) or trousers. Exact contents are always listed on the individual product page, so please check there before ordering.
How to measure
The easiest and most accurate method is to take an outfit you already own that fits you well, lay it flat, and measure it. Use a soft measuring tape and keep it straight rather than pulled tight.
- Bust – across the fullest part, from edge to edge, then double it
- Waist – across the narrowest part of the garment, then double it
- Hip – across the fullest part, then double it
- Shirt length – from the highest point of the shoulder straight down to the hem
- Sleeve length – from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve
- Trouser length – from the waistband to the ankle
A note for your tailor
Ask your tailor to check the fabric against your measurements before cutting, particularly on 2-piece suits where trouser fabric is more limited. If you prefer a longer shirt, wider hem or fuller sleeve, mention it early – it affects how the fabric is laid out.
Please note that once fabric has been cut or stitched we are unable to accept it for exchange, so it is worth a careful check on arrival.
Stitched pieces
Where a piece is sold ready to wear, its measurements are listed in the product description. If you are between sizes, we generally suggest sizing up for a more comfortable drape.
